Criminal Justice Student Association bring special agent

Wednesday, April 16, the annual criminal justice day, will showcase a lecture, as well as presentations and demonstrations in the Union Mall.
The keynote speaker for the day will be former Special Agent John Douglas. Douglas is the author of numerous books, including Inside the mind of BTK: The true story behind the thirty-year hunt for the notorious Wichita serial killer.
Douglas’s work with the FBI includes founding the Investigative Support Unit, which tackles the “most baffling and senseless of unsolved violent crimes.”
After 25 years of service, Douglas retired and now makes appearances across the country. The lecture will take place at 6:30 p.m. in Edwards’ blue room.
At noon, the campus mall will be filled with demonstrations. The Rochester Police Department SWAT team, the Monroe County Sheriff’s K-9 unit, the Monroe County Fire Bureau HAZ-MAT truck and the New York State Police Helicopter will all be demonstrating their techniques and methods in the Union Mall.
The Rochester Police Department will be including a flash-bang demonstration between noon and 1 p.m. There will also be a helicopter landing. |
