The College at Brockport will induct 28 communication majors into Lambda Pi Eta, The National Communication Honor Society, Thursday, April 17.

Lambda Pi Eta represents what Aristotle described in his book, Rhetoric, as the three ingredients of persuasion: logos meaning logic, pathos relating to emotion and ethos meaning character credibility. Lambda Pi Eta members are required to have a 3.0 overall GPA and a 3.25 GPA in the major.

The goals of the honor society are to foster scholastic achievement, stimulate interest in communication and promote professional development among communication majors.

Lambda Pi Eta members are involved with The Stylus, WBSU, BTV, the Public Relations Club and other campus organizations. Several of the inductees will be attending graduate school in the fall.
