Passion parties please, educate students

So, you just got back from your last class of the day and you feel tired as you walk the stairs to your dorm room. You step into the hallway and hear a bunch of giggling girls. You stop mid-step to peek in their room and see them tossing a ring on a certain male body part made of silicone.

What you probably have just witnessed is something like a Mary Kay party, but instead of buying cosmetics, everyone is gathered to buy sensual products.

Passion Parties is a company in the U.S. and Canada, which offers a large line of products, ranging from shower gel to lotions to personal lubricants and vibrators.

“Passion Parties are all about getting together with a group of friends to have a great time and learn how to enhance their personal life,” Amy Ross, independent Passion Parties consultant in Rochester, said.

At Passion Parties, you have a host. This representative pitches the products to the partygoers who have a hard time resisting the love products.

“My favorite part of the party is the creams and lubricants because you get to taste them,” said Jessica Andersen, a 22-year-old Passion Parties host. “There are games involved and it’s a lot of fun.”

At a Passion Party, you are not obligated to buy anything. Ordering can be done privately so no one will know what you ordered. The more sales the party receives, the more money the host makes. Ross said that the host will earn many free products if their sales are high.

The parties go beyond just giggles and red cheeks — they are informative for women. Andersen said that a host should be good at displaying the products in a way that makes everyone feel comfortable and laugh, but at the same time want to buy the product because of what it will provide.

“We answer questions, give tips and techniques, and offer education on many aspects, including how to find and enjoy what many consider the UFO of body parts, your G-spot,” said Angela Dudek, Passion Parties consultant and executive director.

Ross says it is a three-way tie when it comes to the most popular items. The “Bullet” is popular because it is versatile. The “GIGI” is a favorite for women who don’t enjoy giving oral sex and the “Ready to Go” lotion is popular because it stimulates women to help get them in a sexual mood.

Dudek said her No. 1 selling item is the Pure Satisfaction Enhancement Gel. The gel warms everything up for him and her.

“I really like the lubricants because they are not the cheap gross stuff you can buy in the store — they smell good, some are edible, are good quality and safe to use (don’t cause yeast infections),” Andersen said.

“One of the great benefits is that guests will have the opportunity not only to learn, but to touch, taste and see sensual products in a manner that cannot be done in a retail store,” Dudek said.

Silly games that create laughter are usually played at Passion Parties. Dudek offers Sexy Word Game, Left-Right Game and a Ring Toss Game. Every consultant has different games to play.

It depends on your consultant’s opinion if the parties are for women only.

Dudek said that she doesn’t invite men to attend the parties so women can have a comfortable, calm, relaxing time, knowing that their partners are anxiously awaiting them to return with Passion products.

“Passion Parties are supposed to help take away the pressure of walking into an adult store, by offering products in a confidential matter,” Dudek said.

Ross says that her favorite parties to host are co-ed, but are more popular for women.

“Men think they are all stallions and their women don’t need anything but them,” Ross said. “Women are more open to the fact that a few toys can really help the orgasm.”

Passion Parties are recommended for everyone, and especially those who are too shy or nervous to go into a store that sells sensual products. Ross said that her oldest customer is 68 years old and her youngest is 18. Dudek said there are products for women of all ages.

After attending a Passion Party, you will see that they are about having fun with friends and learning new things that can really spice up your love life.
