Easy recipe offers big taste Dinner can easily be on the table in 25 minutes with this tasty chicken and pasta recipe. As a college student, I try to find quick and inexpensive recipes that won’t leave me with tons of leftovers. Don’t let this simple recipe fool you. It offers big taste. The ingredients be found at Wegman’s, Aldi’s or Wal-Mart for $11 or less. Aldi’s is the best choice if you are hard for time, because they sell cooked chicken breast strips for $2.29 per package. Here is how to make the chicken and pasta dish: • 3 cups frozen cheese tortellini • ½ pound boneless skinless chicken breast, cubed or the whole package of cooked strips • 1 tablespoon vegetable or canola oil • 2 cups of spaghetti sauce • ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese Cook tortellini according to package directions. In a large skillet, cook chicken in oil over medium heat until juices run clear or if already cooked, follow heating instructions on package. Drain tortellini and add to skillet. Stir in spaghetti sauce. Sprinkle with cheese. Reduce heat to low. Cover and cook for three to five minutes or until cheese is melted. This recipe will make two servings. |
