Golden Eagles win final regular season game on last-second shot By Jim Krencik
Ashley Broadhurst capped the final regular season game of her career with a game-winning jump shot, with only 12 seconds left against the Geneseo Knights, sending her teammates onto the floor in celebration and Geneseo fans out of the arena in shock. It wasn’t a game the College at Brockport women’s basketball team had to win, but Broadhurst said it was a perfect way to get ready for the playoffs.

Eagles can't win for the third time against Geneseo this season, lose finale By Michael Thayer
Saturday night did not provide the Brockport Golden Eagles (18-7, 14-2) with the best way to end their regular season play, as they fell to the Geneseo Knights (18-7, 11-5). In the contest, the consistently high-scoring Golden Eagles were only able to find 62 points, and gave their opponents a 10-point win. The voice of Golden Eagles Basketball for WBSU-Radio, Dale Budziszewski, weighed in on the team performance. “They flat out didn’t play well,” Budziszewski said of the team’s first loss since Jan. 26 against Plattsburgh. In the game, two of the team’s top scorers fouled out in Sherod Harris and Dave Maldonado. Harris, who averages more than 16 points per game, scored a team-high 13 points, while Maldonado and Mychal Wilkes both scored 11. Harris fouled out with only 29 seconds left in the game, while Maldonado left with about 90 seconds left in the game, as the Golden Eagles went to the foul game.
