Loss to Oswego keeps Eagles running away from pack

The College at Brockport women’s basketball team is the new front-runner in the SUNYAC playoff race, but this week’s action proved this battle is still too close to call.

An incredible comeback pushed the Golden Eagles into the top spot, but an inexcusable loss kept Brockport from getting too far ahead of their rivals.

The Golden Eagles rallied to beat the Cortland Red Dragons 84-76 Tuesday, Feb. 5 in an intense game between the top teams in the SUNYAC’s two divisions. Read More

Golden Eagles' run of wins hits six-in-a-row

With six consecutive wins in SUNYAC play, and 12 wins in 13 games, the College at Brockport men’s basketball team is taking great strides toward SUNYAC Tournament play. The team competed against three top teams in the past week, winning all games without competition for the top score.

The Golden Eagles took on and destroyed SUNY Cortland 78-65, Feb. 5 at home. A strong first half on Brockport’s side ultimately led to the victory. Impressive actions were taken by Brandon Williams, scoring a total of 22 points and 14 rebounds within the game. Cortland put on an impressive effort, but Brockport held the Red Dragons back on defense. Read More
